CAGE FIGHTING WOMEN

‘Cage Fighting Women’ follows the fortunes of two trailblazing female MMA fighters as they leave behind their homes in Britain and travel to America for the biggest bouts of their lives. Both women have their own reasons for stepping into the cage and both are prepared to lay their safety on the line in search of success.

This film is an in-depth portrait of two strong and defiant women, trying to make it in a sport where female fighters are in the definite minority. The film explores the complex and often difficult relationships both fighters have with their male trainers – who, in both cases, also happen to be their partners.

With intimate access to training sessions, family life, fight nights and beyond, this film offers a unique glimpse into this extreme sport and explores the sacrifices made by the women who choose to enter its arena.
