DOGGING TALES

Why do some men and women feel the need to go out and have sex with strangers in public areas under the cover of darkness? Directed and filmed by Leo Maguire, Dogging Tales uncovers the secretive subculture of dogging, exploring this peculiarly British use of the countryside through a series of compelling, humorous and tragic stories told by the doggers themselves.

The film delves into the physical and psychological motivations and discovers laybys and clearings where people search for a connection with others. The result is a surprisingly beautiful and truly original portrait of animalistic activity in the woods.

Against all expectations… Dogging Tales proved to be one of the documentaries of the year so far… funny, touching, sad and, occasionally… inspiring

The Times

A film that is certainly not judgemental but is also tinged with sadness

Eye-popping… Dogging Tales was still trending ten hours after its first broadcast
