GLASGOW GIRLS

An innovative musical drama based on the true story of the Glasgow Girls, a group of teenagers whose appeal to save their friend from deportation inspired a powerful human rights campaign.

When Kosovan teenager Agnesa Murselaj is detained by immigration officers in a dawn raid, pupils Amal, from Somalia, Roza, from Kurdistan, North Iraq, Ewelina a Polish Roma, and local Drumchapel teenagers Emma, Jennifer and Toni-Lee refuse to let her go without a fight.

Featuring contemporary musical moments to enhance the story and themes, this uplifting factual drama features a talented young ensemble cast, complimented by Gary Lewis who plays their teacher.

Dared to tackle the difficult questions of immigration, and did so with zest
